ES‐konsult works with safety analysis reports
ES‐konsult has great experience in production of, updating and reviewing all parts of the nuclear power plant's safety
analysis reports. The safety analysis report is the nuclear power plants way of demonstrating to the public and the authoroties that you follow the
laws regarding reator safety.
The safety analysis report of a nuclear power plant includes among others one general part and one system part. The general
part describes how the plant is built to meet the demands and how the plant responds to potential incidents.
The system part describes the safety and operating systems that a nuclear power plant consists of. To guarantee a safe
operation of the plant there are "Säkerhetstekniska driftförutsättningar" (STF) for all safety componenets that have to be operational
along with the parameters they must include.
To work with safety analysis reporting
In connection to large projects such as power uprate or modernization, every concerned analysis is altered to assure that it is
valid for the "new" plant. After these alterations the safety analysis reports need to be updated in order to have a correct description of the plant.
Working with safety analysis reporting includes:
‐Apply the existing safety analyses and safety analysis reports, both for a safe operation and at alterations of the plant.
‐Maintain and develop existing safety analysis report
‐Interpret and apply regulations and other rules within the field of reactor safety
‐Manage projects related to safety analysis reporting

uprate of Oskarhamn 3 NPP
- Updating (STF), Technical Specifications, for Ringhals 1 NPP, due to the modernization projects RPS and SP2.
- Updating the general part of Safety Analysis Report of Ringhals 3, 4 NPP due to the project GREAT and FREJ,
Power uprate of Ringhals 3,4 NPP.
- Updating PSA, Probabilistic Safety Analysis, for Ringhals 4 NPP due to FREJ project, Power uprate of
